so i just realised that i never wrote anything bout the roadtrip even tho it was a month ago. i dont think i could ever put into words how amazing it really was but i will give it ago...

I have to say it was definately the most inspiring week of my life! it was incredibly crazy, inspiring, emotional, eye-opening, exhilarating, thrilling, challenging, overwhelming, exciting, tiring and uplifting all at once (just imagine all of that for a whole week non stop 24/7 and u have a small idea of what it was like)

it was so refreshing to be surrounded by 120ish other qlders who were as passionate about Make Poverty History as i am...and whats even better was they were all youth between the ages of 16 and 25...who ever said that youth cant make a difference - we sure as hell did!

A big shout out to the best group ever my fellow TRANSFORMERS - ash, mitch, kate, kate, beth, shayla, clare, siobhan, libby and kevin - you guys are absolutely AMAZING and honestly the most incredibly fun and inspirational people that i met - i love u guys!

from brissie we left and made our way to bundaberg then toowoomba, byron bay, ballina and finally ending up in sydney, the whole way spreading the msg.

there was endless hours of chanting through the streets and constanly asking people to FACE UP! then there was the concert at the ballina hotel - EVERMORE! - they were amazing - also BOMBA, ZOOPHYTE, SYBIOSIS and THE HAMPDONS - all fantastic (and thanks to the transformers for dancing with me hehe). that night was unfortunately spent sleeping or rather not sleeping for 10ish hours on the bus which was incredibly uncomfortable - i do not reccomend it.
after all of the non-sleep we made it to sydney! then there was more chanting on the steps of the opera house with all the other states roadtripers (imagine about 700 16-25 year olds - it was crazy), then once in the opera house there was even more chanting, kevin rudd promised us 0.5% by 2015 (not the goal of 0.7% but its a start) and then MISSY HIGGINS and JOHN BUTER TRIO!

that night we all got to see the fantastic opera house projection (go to youtube and type in opera house projection) which was amazing! and i got to meet HUGH EVANS - such an inspirational guy and only 24.

the next morning it was 7/7/07 and we went to the MDG summit which was...political moreso than i thought it would be but heaps of the roadies asked some very informed questions and i was very impressed.

then came LIVE EARTH! more chanting and an awesome mexican wave, JOHN BUTLER TRIO and MISSY HIGGINS (twice in 2 days impressive), ESKIMO JOE, WOLFMOTHER and JACK JOHNSON!

what a week hey...i loved every single second of it and altho i dont think i have ever been quite so tired but i woul do it all again in a second!

so that was pretty damn long i hope you made it through without falling asleep...and that was only the short version - there were so many things that happened and i could talk about it for hours...but thankfully for you i wont but if u want to know more just ask and im happy to alk until you never want to hear the words zero seven ever again.

i know i keep nagging but i will never stop until everone i know has done it - FACE UP! go to [link] and upload ur photo
